Blast, Overpressure, Gas-tight & Special Ventilation Valves for Protected Spaces

Atmas presents a wide selection of blast valves and overpressure valve for ventilation and air filtration systems of civil defence shelters, safe rooms, industrial applications and other types of protective structures which require protection of ventilation ways and internal space from blast wave pressure coming from outside.

Our professional, tested and certified valves are installed in thousands of facilities to protect people and equipment. The valves are approved by various civil defence authorities and certified according to most modern standards.

The valves we offer can be used in new construction or retrofitted in existing (modernization) projects.

Our Range of Protective and Airflow Regulations Valves for Ventilation Systems in Shelters & Bunkers

SOLUTIONS

BVNO Blast Valves - Installation on Wall Sleeve or Retrofit Flange

BVNO Automatic action, normally open valves for installation on ventilation openings for protection of internal spaces against destructive blast wave effects. Blast valves are specifically designed for maintaining ventilation while protecting against sudden blast overpressures. These valves are normally open, allowing continuous airflow but automatically closing in the event of a blast to safeguard interior spaces.

Key Features:

  • A large selection of blast valves for different airflows. The BVNO series includes valves with airflows in range 50-2900 m3/h (per valve, several valves can be installed for larger airflow).

  • Returned Pressure Durability >900 kPa (9 bar).

  • The valves are extremely durable and can withstand heat and corrosion.

  • Normally open Blast valves can be equipped with a dust pre-filter for
removing dust particles and special casing to dirrect air.

Applications:

Ideal for shelters, bunkers, data centers, and secure facilities requiring continuous ventilation with blast protection.

BVNC Overpressure Blast Valves

BVNC overpressure blast valves are normally closed and designed to open only when there’s a need to release overpressure. They provide critical protection against internal blast overpressure while maintaining airtightness during standard operations.

Key Features:

  • Maintains overpressure level by automatic release of air.

  • Can operate from pressure of 50 Pascal.

  • Available in multiple sizes for different airflow requirements

Applications:

Used in military shelters, high-security laboratories, and industrial facilities with strict overpressure management needs.

PRV Differential Pressure Regulation Valves

PRV valves are designed to regulate constant pressure differences between connected rooms like airlocks or internal shelter compartment. They ensure balanced airflow and maintain preset overpressure levels in the two compartment, making them essential for environments with controlled ventilation systems.

Key Features:

  • Professional solution for airlocks

  • Compact design for easy integration into ventilation systems.

  • Corrosion-resistant materials for long-term durability.

Applications:

Perfect for cleanrooms, pharmaceutical labs, CBRN shelters, and controlled environment facilities.

GK Gas Tight Shut-Off Valves

GK gas-tight valves are designed for installation in ventilation ducts to isolate areas from hazardous gases during emergencies. These valves ensure complete airtight sealing, providing critical protection in the event of chemical, biological, or gas-related incidents.

Key Features:

  • Butterfly or eccentric type gas-tight valves

  • Gas-tight sealing for maximum protection.

  • Available in a wide range of sizes (from 100 mm openings).

  • Manual or motorized operation options for flexible control.

  • Compliant with international safety standards.

Applications:

Essential for chemical plants, CBRN shelters, research labs, and industrial gas containment facilities.

HDB Blast Damper

The HDB Blast Damper is engineered to protect critical infrastructure by preventing blast waves from penetrating ventilation systems. Designed for high ventilation capacity, it instantly closes upon detecting a shock wave and automatically reopens once conditions normalize, with manual operation also available. Constructed from durable stainless steel, it is certified for ATEX Zone 1 & 2 (Gas) and Zone 21 & 22 (Dust). With a pressure resistance of up to 6 bar and a temperature range of -40°C to +300°C, the HDB Blast Damper is ideal for refineries, oil & gas facilities, and nuclear power plants.

Key Features:

  • Shock tube tested (up to 6 bar)

  • Corrosion-resistant, 1440h salt spray tested

  • Self-actuating closing and opening

  • Available in custom dimensions up to 2000mm x 2400mm

  • ATEX-certified for hazardous environments

Applications:

Critical infrastructure, shelters, industrial facilities, government buildings and more.
